Second only to France in production terms, Italy is literally the land of the vine, carpeted with vineyards throughout her complete length. Frequently confusing because of the profuse diversity of the wine styles that she produces, Italy offers more unique wine styles than any other country, with quality levels that peak as high as those of France. United at the end of the 19th Century, there is a feeling within Italy that the country remains a collection of states, and because of that a level of 'localism' is found that makes her wines and food fascinating.
During this weekend, Master of Wine Liam Steevenson, who is also Director of RED&WHITE, the South West's 'Independent Wine Merchant of the Year', will take us through a carefully chosen selection of wines from the country's key wine regions, Tuscany, Veneto, Campagnia, Puglia, Sicily and Piedmont. This should be a fascinating opportunity to taste some of Italy's finest wines and specially chosen Menus
