A message of reassurance
At Thurlestone Hotel, the health and wellbeing of our guests and team is our highest
priority and we do everything we can to ensure our guests have a safe and pleasant stay.
We recognise the situation is unsettling and that you may have concerns about your upcoming stay, so please review our special FAQs below.
Do I require travel insurance?
We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance prior to booking, even for travel within the UK.
What measures are in place to protect guests from coronavirus at Thurlestone?
During this period of uncertainty, we are actively monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) updates from the World Health Organization and following the advice of UK government, public health authorities and medical professionals.
We have put in place various additional measures, including:
Regular team briefings to reinforce rules of good personal hygiene
Our team have been requested to minimise personal contact such as handshakes
Clear signage around the hotel reminds all guests and crew to wash hands, cough or sneeze into a tissue and avoid contact with your face and eyes
Hand sanitiser is available at guest contact areas such as our reception desks
Special attention has also been placed to sanitise public contact points such as elevator buttons, reception counters and conference/meeting rooms.
Deep cleaning is undertaken on check out of all rooms
Should any of our team members begin to show any signs of being unwell with any symptoms of fever, flu or respiratory problems they have been instructed to consult the NHS 111 online coronavirus service and not to attend work until clear of symptoms.
Guests travelling from an area of concern are asked to follow current NHS guidelines and let us know prior to arrival.
Am I able to cancel my booking?
Thurlestone Hotel is operating as normal. As such, standard terms and conditions apply for all amendments and cancellations. If you are disinclined to travel please do call us and we would be happy to move your deposit to a later date.
What happens if I have been advised by my doctor not to travel or to self-isolate?
Please do give us a call and we would be happy to discuss moving your deposit to a future date.
What happens if there is an outbreak at Thurlestone?
We will follow the advice of Public Health England, asking guests to comply with any additional screening measures put in place.
What will happen if Thurlestone Hotel has to close or travel to Devon is restricted?
If we are forced to close or restrictions to Devon are put in place, you will be able to amend your booking to a later date within 12 months of your original booking
